Terms

Verso is a feed reader operated by Fair Copy L.L.C., a Washington limited liability company. These terms describe the agreement between you and us.

The trial and the price

Every account starts with a 30-day free trial with all features enabled. After 30 days, Verso costs twenty dollars, once. There are no recurring payments. We will never charge the card again, because we never stored it.

If your trial ends and you haven't bought, reading is paused — but your account is not deleted, and OPML export keeps working. Your subscriptions remain yours to take with you.

Refunds

Purchases can be refunded for up to one year after purchase. Write to us to request a refund.

If Verso shuts down, every purchase less than a year old is refunded. We will provide notice and leave OPML export running so you can take your subscriptions with you.

This shutdown policy is part of the terms of purchase.

Your account

You're responsible for activity under your account and for the address you sign in with. Do not use Verso to break the law or to overload another service. Verso polls other people's servers on your behalf. We may suspend an account that causes material harm to another service's infrastructure and will explain why.

Your data

Your subscriptions, read states, and stars are yours. You can export your subscriptions as OPML at any time, including after a trial ends, and you can have your account deleted whenever you like by asking us. We don't sell your data, we don't advertise against it, and we don't use your reading to train anything. The privacy policy covers the details.

What we don't promise

Verso is provided as-is. We work to keep it running and to keep your data intact, but we can't guarantee that it will be available without interruption, that every feed will always crawl, or that no bug will ever bite. To the extent the law allows, Fair Copy L.L.C. is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us — which is at most twenty dollars.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll say so on this page and note the date above. We won't change the price of a copy you already bought, and we won't retroactively narrow the refund promise — the terms you bought under are the terms you keep.

Payments are processed by Polar, our merchant of record, who is the seller of record for your purchase and handles billing and tax. Their terms cover the transaction itself; ours cover the software.
